Minutes of the meeting of Coleraine Probus Club
Attendance: 37members were in attendance.

Apologies (10) Robin Blackford, Noel Finlay, Eric Fulton, Norman Gallagher, Jim Hillis, . Billy Holmes, John Ludlow, John McKegney, John O’Neill and Jim Torrens

The President, John McGlade, gave a warm welcome to the members and guest George Butler. He then introduced this mornings speaker, Nina McNeary, from The Causeway Heritage Consultancy, the topic of her talk being ”The Antrim Gardens Project, Portrush”.

A question and answer session followed the talk. A vote of thanks proposed by Des Moore was passed to Nina by the President.

Weekly Business:
Minutes: The minutes of the 12th March 2019 were, with the approval of the . members, taken as read and signed by the President. These can be viewed on the Club website.

Matters arising: None not covered by the agenda.

Correspondence: None.

Reports.
Social. Joe Alcorn reported that the next Probus Lunch will be held on Tuesday 26th March at The Lodge Hotel, 12:00 noon for 12:30 pm. An attendance sheet is available at the signing in table. If you intend going to the lunch please ensure that your name is marked on the list. Guests should also be included. This is important so that an adequate number of tables can be provided.

Welfare. Cecil Spotten reported that John Ludlow is in Hospital for further tests. John White is still in The Brook but his condition is quite confused.

Treasurer. Nigel Semple has nothing to report.

Any Other Business.
1. Graham Kane gave notice that on Tuesday 2nd April he will propose that George Butler be accepted for membership of Coleraine Probus Club. .

2. The Probus Magazine Spring Edition is still available at the signing in table.

Next Meeting: The next speakers meeting will be held on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 in Portstewart Golf Club when Alan Jeffers will speak on the subject of “The Portrush Regeneration Project.”

Closing Remarks. The President, thanked members for attending and looked forward to seeing them at the next speaker’s meeting. He reminded members of the Club Lunch on Tuesday 26th April in The Lodge Hotel. ..
