Minutes of the meeting of Coleraine Probus Club
Attendance: 39 members were in attendance.
Apologies (6) James Dinsmore, Noel Finlay, Billy Holmes, Danny Kennedy, John Ludlow and Jim Torrens.
The President, John McGlade, gave a warm welcome to members. He then introduced this mornings. Speaker, John Richardson the topic of his talk being “Banking Travel - The Early Days.”

and here on the club website.A question and answer session followed the talk. The President passed a vote of thanks proposed by John McKegney to John.
Weekly Business:
Minutes: The minutes of the 1st October 2019 were read, approved by the members and signed by the President.
Matters arising: Graham Kane proposed that Stanley Forsythe be admitted as a member of Coleraine Probus Club. This proposal was seconded by Nigel Semple and unanimously endorsed by the members.
Correspondence: None.
Reports:
Social: Joe Alcorn confirmed that details of the Club Quiz and Lunch / Refreshments on 29th October will be given at the next meeting on Tuesday 15th October.
Welfare: Cecil Spotten has nothing further to report.
Treasurer: Nigel Semple has nothing to report.
Any Other Business;
1. Magazines. Ken Parkes reminded members that Probus magazines are available at the signing in table.
Next Meeting: The next speaker's meeting will be held on Tuesday 15th October 2019 when Alison McCaughan will give a talk on “What did you see in the Diamond today.”
Closing Remarks: The President thanked members for attending and hoped to see everyone at the next meeting.
