Social: The President reminded members about the Club outing to Bushmills Distillery on 25 November,. They were asked to return booking forms and payment to Nigel Semple. Members should go directly to the Distillery for Coffee/Tea at 10.45 am. Should anyone require a lift, at least two cars will depart at 10.15am from the carpark at Portstewart Golf Club. To date 20 members have booked for this event.

Christmas Lunch: Lunch menus are available and should be returned to Jim Gordon or Graham MacDonald as soon as possible, certainly not later than 25 November.

slow improvement.

Treasurer: Outstanding cash for the Distillery guided Tour should be passed immediately to Nigel Semple.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
1. MEMBERSHIP: The President encouraged members to invite guests to our Probus meetings in an effort to renew the membership; 5 or 6 new members would be ideal. John McHenry advised the Club that he would be proposing that John Tan be admitted to membership at the meeting on 2 December 2014.

2. PROBUS MAGAZINES: Back copies have been available at club meetings. Members were asked by the President if they would be interested in receiving this quarterly magazine. The response was poor and it was apparent that the magazine would not be well received.

3. MEETING ON 11 NOVEMBER 2014: Ken Parkes reported that the memory stick supplied by Andrew Baird failed to activate. A new memory stick was provided and the associated illustrated presentation is now available on the Club Web Site.

NEXT SPEAKER’S MEETING: Will be on 2 December 2014, 10.30 for 11.00am with a talk from Rev. Graham Nevin, telling us about Northern Ireland – The last 1000 Million Years.

The President thanked all the members for attending and hoped that everyone would also be along for our next speaker’s meeting on 2 December 2014.

Meeting closed at 12.00 noon.

Signed: Gordon Ward
