The members showed their appreciation.
Minutes: The minutes of the meeting on 23rd April 2013 were read, agreed and signed.
Matters arising: None not covered by the agenda
Correspondence: None
Probus Rally 2014: Jim Gordon reported to the members on the Rally Committee meeting help from 9.00am prior to the club meeting. The Rally Committee is composed of club committee members and seconded additional volunteers - (15 in total, additional volunteers welcome - a committee list is attached to these minutes). We now have a better idea of what is involved, and hope to get more information from observing the Athlone Rally. We are putting together the material for the presentation in Athlone, which should be ready for club viewing next week. The real work of organizing the 2014 Rally begins in earnest in September.
Social: Jim Gordon reported that he was collecting menu choices for the Club Lunch on 14th May. Jim also asked for an indication of who would be coming to the quiz, but not the meal, and vice versa.
Welfare: Cecil Spotten said the for once he had nothing to report this week.
Treasurer: Nigel Semple said that the accounts were in order and had nothing to report.
A O B: New Members: John Ludlow gave notice that he would be formally proposing Eric Fulton for membership in the weeks to come. John McHenry said that although he had given notice of proposing Len Black for membership, however he was putting this on hold as Len's wife has been taken very ill and Len wanted to make sure that she was OK before committing time to Probus.
Donegal Trip: Ken Parkes said that he had a few extra places available on a coach outing to Londonderry and Donegal he was arranging on 20th May. Cost would be about £25. See ken to arrange pick-up and drop off.
Next Speakers Meeting: Would be on 7th May, with a talk by Mr. Terry Moseley, who will be "Reaching for the Stars"
Meeting closed at 12.10pm
