Minutes: The minutes of the 14 April 2015, were read, agreed and signed by the President.
Matters arising: None not covered by the agenda.
Correspondence: An email received from Mary Sinnamon was read and the contents noted.
REPORTS:
Social: Joe Alcorn reminded members that the lunch menus are now available for the Club Lunch on Tuesday 12 May 2015. Menu course choices should be returned as soon as possible. Members should indicate if they and their partners are attending both Club Quiz and Lunch or Lunch only. Joe thanked Ivan Gough for preparing and printing the menu sheets.
Welfare: Cecil Spotten reported that John Ludlow was being treated in hospital for a kidney infection.
Treasurer: An apology was received from Nigel Semple.
A O B: 1. The President welcomed new member Brian Green and presented him with the Club badges and documents.
2. John McHenry proposed that Malcolm Hinds be enrolled as a member of Coleraine Probus Club. The proposal was seconded by Cecil Leitch and approved by the members present.
3. Reggie Patterson reminded members that the Counterpoint Spring Concert will be held in St Patrick’s Church on Friday 24 April at 7.30pm.
4. Ken Parks informed the meeting that some back copies of the Probus Magazine are now available. He requested that when members are finished with a magazine they return it to him.
Next Speakers Meeting: will be held on Tuesday 28 April 2015 when the speaker will be Mr Maurice McAleese on the subject of “Echoes of the Open Golf Championship Portrush 1951”.
The President thanked the members for attending and hoped that everyone would be at our next meeting on Tuesday 28 April 2015 .
