Minutes: The minutes of the 17th March 2015, were read, agreed and signed by the Vice-President.
Matters arising: None not covered by the agenda.
Correspondence: A letter received from the Beech Hill Country House Hotel Londonderry offered members facilities for social outings. The letter is available for members to inspect should they wish to partake of the offer.
REPORTS:
Social: Des Johnston confirmed that 34 members have booked in for the Probus Club Lunch on 31st March 2015. Menus are available today for those wishing to book in for the lunch.
Welfare: An apology was received from Cecil Spotten.
Treasurer: An apology was received from Nigel Semple.
A O B: 1. The Vice-President welcomed new member Brian Green. Membership badges and copy of the Coleraine Probus Club Constitution and Rules will be given to him when the President returns from holiday.
2. Probus Meeting on Tuesday 12 May 2015 :This is the last meeting before the Summer break. Dermot Jennings has kindly agreed to organise a club quiz. The quiz will be followed by the Probus Club lunch.
Next Speakers Meeting: Will be held on Tuesday 14 April and the speaker will be The Rev. Brian Hume on the subject of "A Change of Life".
The Vice-President then introduced our speaker for the morning, Mr Richard Russell whose informative talk outlined his experiences as a Policing Advisor in the United Arab Emirates. This was prefaced by a promotional video which contrasted the ancient and modern developments in the region. Formed in 1971, the U.A.E. is the most tolerant Islamic Society in the Middle East.

A vote of thanks proposed by Norman Maxwell was passed on to Mr Russell by the Vice-President. The members showed their appreciation.
The Vice-President thanked the members for attending and looked forward to our next speakers' meeting on Tuesday 14 April 2015.
